Jesus Christ was a yogi because he was a penitent and all penitents are yogi's. A penitent is someone who does purification for his body and soul for spiritual growth. All yogi's do purification of their body and soul for spiritual growth. Jesus first statement in the Gospels in his ministry was; "Purify thyself for the kingdom of God is at hand."
Part of the purification process is meditation which purifies the soul and spirit. As one who was totally pure and purified perfectly, He meditated to purify others.
Jesus is sacred in His Meditation.
